POWERFUL FLYING ROBOTS

xCraft Sponsors Robot Wars

xCraft is excited to announce our sponsorship of the latest season of Robot Wars, a robot fighting competition hosted by Norwalk Havoc Robot League in Norwalk, CT. Gone are the days of mechanically-manipulated dueling robot boxers; this all-ages robot fighting championship is the real deal.

This fall, xCraft will sponsor the latest season of the popular robot combat event hosted by Norwalk Havoc Robot League (NHRL). Based in the heart of Norwalk, NHRL is a specialized combat robotics league that produces world-class events in the growing field of robot fighting. Since 2018, the NHRL has hosted thousands of robot fights featuring hundreds of hand-built robots operated by both rookie and veteran bot builders.

Making Combat Robotics Accessible for All

In addition to providing quality robot fighting content, NHRL is invested in growing a diverse community of bot builders and helping rookies learn how to get started in combat robotics. By featuring competitors of all ages, skill sets, and backgrounds, the NHRL aims to make the world of robot fighting safe, fun, and inclusive for all who are interested in the sport.

By hosting frequent events throughout the year, NHRL ensures everyone who is interested in robot fighting will be able to attend or participate in one of their events. To encourage first-timers to enter into the world of combat robotics, they've even set aside a dedicated event for first-time bot builders and first-time bots to test their mettle and learn the ropes of robotics. xCraft is proud to sponsor this organization that aims to make robotics accessible and fun for all.

What to Expect This Season

NHRL's world-class robot fighting tournament is no joke when it comes to robot combat. We're talking smashes, crashes, parts flying, electric sparks, fire... the wreckage is unreal! NHRL showcases satisfyingly destructive robot fighting in 3 weight classes (3lb, 12lb, and 30lb brackets), as well as a 12lb sportsman class. Finalists will receive a combined $4,200 in prize money, with custom-made Golden Dumpster trophies up for grabs for the first-place winners.

This season consists of 6 virtual events and culminates with the championship finals in December. September's fights just wrapped up on the 18th and 19th, and the next heat is scheduled for November 13th and 14th. Winners from September's fights, along with November's finalists, will battle it out in December's championship finals on the 18th and 19th. Who will take home the coveted Golden Dumpster? Trust us when we say you don't want to miss out on these fights!

xCraft has thoroughly enjoyed our time sponsoring these events and cheering on all our favorite robots in September's battles. Join us on November 13th and 14th to revel in the chaos and carnage as we find out which robots will join last month's finalists in December's championship event. We hope to see you there.
